The spirit of entrepreneurship in the 85th District is strong, but many budding entrepreneurs do not have the resources or support to start and grow their businesses. By fostering and promoting small business, both new and established, we can diversify the economy of the 85th, create more local jobs, and keep more money in the district.
Open a business incubator and meeting space in the District
– By opening a business incubator and meeting space in the 85th, we will encourage business leaders in the community to come together with new entrepreneurs to grow the local economy by sharing ideas across the municipalities in the district.
Funding trade programs in local high schools
– Increasing or starting funding for trade programs in Normandy and Ritenour High Schools, students will be able to learn a trade through their school, earn certifications, and partner with businesses and local government to complete projects around the 85th. After graduation, they can immediately enter the workforce and help the economy of the 85th grow.
